Presented almost as a portrait, the post dominates the landscape in all its weathered beauty. Its scarred surface and remnants of wire hint at decades exposed to the elements and a history that can only be imagined — boundaries once marked, land once worked, and countless seasons passing across the country surrounding it.
Broken timbers lie scattered below while the remaining wire stretches across the open landscape, connecting what remains of the fence to the vastness beyond. There is no movement and no life within the scene, only the stillness of the land and the evidence of what has endured there.
