Outback Fence captures one of the most recognisable features of the Australian outback — the weathered rural fence line. A dominant foreground post anchors the composition before the fence recedes across vast, exposed country towards distant ridges.

Built through layers of earth-derived and unconventional materials, surfaces are applied, scraped and manipulated to echo the textures and scars of the land itself.

Weather-beaten and scarred by time, the fence remains standing — a quiet symbol of integrity, endurance and resilience.

Through a restrained palette and tactile application, the work pays homage to the raw beauty and enduring character of the Australian landscape.
