ARTWORK DESCRIPTION
This beautiful rustic abstract landscape is full of textures and draws the image of the open terrain. A google search of open terrain: "open terrain, open country or open ground is terrain which is mostly flat and free of obstructions such as trees and buildings. Exmaples include, farmland, grassland and specially cleared areas"
Strong black colour indicates the base and foundation and the earthy browns and creams denotes the vastness of the land, the rough texture, the emptiness and the substrate of the territory.
I love working with these neutral tones. They will work on any wall colour or in any decor and look great in any part of your home. I try and bring the rawness of the land into my artworks. The typical landscape painting has beautiful blue skies and lush green grass and brilliant blue water, but I try and portray the "real aspect" of the land. Harsh climates, rough surfaces, desolate locations.
The painted natural raw landscape is highly underrated and one I like to draw your attnetion to. It is after all, what we started with.
